BARGAINING BULLETIN #11, August 19 2009

Industry leaves bargaining process in Prince George

The Interior Bargaining Committee met with Conifer Representatives in Prince George on August 18th and 19th.

Industry demanded the Union address Industries proposal for taking away of vacation pay.

Spokesman Bob Matters continued to assure the Industry the Union Committee is prepared to work with the Industry when they show their cost cutting agenda will keep our members working and return laid off members to employment.

Industry Spokesman stated “when your committee is prepared to address what is important to us (industry) in a substantive manner, we are prepared to resume the process” the industry then left the Bargaining table.

No further meetings are scheduled at this time.
